What we do with the information we collect

We collect and process this information in order to provide services to you and to our other users (both candidates and clients), and to understand how our services are used and improve upon them.

In particular we will:

  • Perform internal record keeping
  • Analyse the information to help us understand our users, both candidates and employers/clients
  • Process the information in order to provide services requested by you
  • Use the information provided by you (including, without limitation, sensitive personal data) in order to conduct the recruitment process on your behalf
  • We may contact you by letter, telephone, email or SMS text message in matters relating to your use of our services.
  • We may send you emails and/or SMS text messages about our services, new benefits or other information which we think you may find interesting, unless you instruct us not to do so when registering with us.

When is data collected, deleted or made anonymous

Data is collected when:

  • The on-line application formis completed and submitted
  • An application to a job is made by telephone, email, post or any other means.

Data may be collected when:

  • A candidate or client either applies for an advertised role or enquires for help filling a post in their organisation.
  • An applicant or client communicates by email, telephone or other means any information which is relevant to the services that we provide.

Data is deleted when:

  • An on-line application for a job is cancelled part way through.
  • If we have not had meaningful contact with you (or, where appropriate, the company you are working for or with) for a period of three years, we will delete your personal data from our systems unless we believe in good faith that the law or other regulation requires us to preserve it (for example, because of our obligations to tax authorities or in connection with any anticipated litigation).

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

Documents supplied by post or fax are stored in lockedcabinets anddocumentation sent to us electronically is stored in a password protected system to which onlymembers of Zen Consulting Ltd, who are directly involved in the recruitment process have access.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to any third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you information about third parties which we think you may find interesting unless you instruct us not to do so.

We reserve the right to transfer information (including your Personal Data) to a third party in the event of a sale, merger, liquidation, receivership or transfer of all or substantially all of the assets of our company provided that the third party agrees to adhere to the terms of this Privacy Policy and provided that the third party only uses your Personal Data for the purposes that you provided it to us. You will be notified in the event of any such transfer and you will be afforded an opportunity to opt-out.
