European Finance Manager

A broad mix of reporting, planning & forecasting (and associated analysis) with operational work 20% reporting, the remainder providing strategic and commercial information and guidance in order to offer greater insight into forecasting.

Based in the Black Forest area, and working for an internationally renowned Fortune 500 manufacturing business, the role been created as a result of an internal promotion & we are now seeking an experienced accountant with both strong technical and analytical skills.

The role is broad and is a mix of reporting, planning and forecasting (and associated analysis) and operational work.

Around 20% of your time will be spent on reporting. The remainder will be spent on analysis of 'the numbers' - providing strategic and commercial information and guidance in order to offer greater insight into forecasting.

Also to provide more accurate management information.

There is also a project element involving areas such as cost analysis, transfer pricing and ERP implementation

Given the size and diversity of the business, there is huge potential for progression on both a local, European and international basis.

It is ESSENTIAL you speak both ENGLISH and GERMAN.

Specifically your duties will include:

• Financial responsibility for two European operations, including initially all bookings, JE’s, m/e close process, and preparation of financial statements
• Responsible for generating month, quarter, and annual financial reporting and closing (HGB/US-GAAP/ CH-GAAP). Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement
• Responsible for , Statistical Reporting Financial Analysis, perform ad-hoc analysis, variance analysis, contribution margins etc.
• Financial Analysis - Involvement and support of project teams
• Perform forecast and budget process
• Coach and develop internal accounting Staff to take over the preparation of two subsidiary financial statements by the end of the year latest
